From cans to cars, creative recycling!

I remembered from the trip to Thailand where i saw interesting model cars that were made out of cans..

So just out of curiosity, I googled it up…

Sandy is a guy that lives in New Zealand, and while recovering from a motorcycle accident, he decided to make model cars out of empty cans.. He was inspired by model aircrafts made from drink cans, but had the aluminum side out instead of the branding side of the cans for the exterior… He said “This defeats the purpose of using the drinks can as far as I am concerned. You want everyone who looks to be able to see instantly what your basic resource was. Celebrate the fact, don’t hide it!”

So now Sandy designs and makes model cars that looks great even with the branding of the drink cans exposed (Much better looking than those I saw in Thailand… more detailed as well)… Its like making model cars for those drink brands! I think those drink companies should pay up for the promotional value of Sandy’s model cars.. meanwhile Sandy is selling his designs for $10 each.
